What This Privacy Policy Covers

This policy covers how CCT treats personal information that CCT collects and receives, including information related to your past use of CCT products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, city, state, zip code, credit card numbers, email address, or phone numbers, and that is not otherwise publicly available. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that CCT does not own or control, or to people that CCT does not employ or manage.

Information Collection and Use

CCT collects personal information when you shop or register with www.toobeez.com as a consumer, and corp.toobeez.com as an authorized reseller, when you visit CCT pages, or the pages of certain CCT partners, and when you enter any of our promotions or sweepstakes. CCT may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.
When you shop or register we may ask for information such as your name, company name, address, city, state, zip code, phone, email address, birth date(s), gender, occupation, # of stores, industry, credit rating, and/or personal interests. Once you register with CCT and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
CCT collects information about your transactions with us and with some of our business partners, including information about your use of products and services that we offer.
CCT uses information for the following general purposes to: customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal purposes.
If you do not wish to provide CCT with any personal information, you will have restricted use of some Toobeez site properties. You will not be able to participate in Toobeez Sweepstakes and Customer Connection. Customer Connection requires you to register in order to participate on the forum. You will not be able to shop online with Toobeez unless you provide us with specific details such as: name, address, city, state, email, phone, credit card. ALL information is secure when you shop with Toobeez.

Your Information is Secure

All the statistical information we compile and personal information that we collect about you is considered confidential. We have implemented industry standard security mechanisms to protect this information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Examples include limited access, firewalls and security analyzers using SSL encryption to protect transmission of data. CCT software and hardware are configured to provide effective security.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

CCT does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with CCT under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help CCT communicate with you about offers from CCT and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of CCT's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
We transfer information about you if CCT is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, CCT will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

CCT displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet the targeting criteria - for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.

CCT does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.
CCT advertisers may include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agents, stock brokers and mortgage lenders) and non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies).

Your Ability to Edit, Delete or Request Your Account Information and Preferences

You can edit your CCT Account Information, including your marketing preferences, at any time.
New categories of marketing communications may be added to the Marketing Preferences page from time to time. Users who visit this page can opt out of receiving future marketing communications from these new categories or they can unsubscribe by following instructions contained in the messages they receive.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the CCT service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the CCT Newsletter, that are considered part of your CCT account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.

Children

If you are 13 years old and under, we need to get your parent's permission in order to participate in Customer Connection. We need them to sign a participation form. Then they will need to fax or mail it back to us. Once we receive confirmation, we can activate your account. We will only ask you to provide a user name, password, and email address. We will use the user name and password to gain access to the site. Your email address will be used should you forget your password, so we will be able to email you with your login information. All information collected is for Toobeez use only and will not be seen or used by anyone else.

What Information Is Collected

When a child under age 13 attempts to register with Customer Connection, we require that he or she have a parent or guardian create an account and to obtain parental permission. No child under 13 can register without a parent’s permission.

Protecting the online privacy of children is especially important, and those under the age of 13 are protected by federal law. For that reason, TOOBEEZ does not knowingly permit children under the age of 13 to become registered members of our sites or to buy goods and services on our sites without verifiable parental consent.

It's our policy to create website content that requires minimum collection of information from our visitors. From time to time, however, we may request limited personally identifiable information (e.g. child’s email address and/or email address of parent or third party), as explained below, in order to conduct online contests or sweepstakes or offer other online activities. Toobeez.com does not condition a child’s participation in any of our online activities on the disclosure of more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity.

Customer Connection Screen Names

Access to the Customer Connection requires that each user has his or her own login name and password. This login name and password is created at the time of registration. Your login name will be viewable by other users with each message created.

Contests and Sweepstakes

Toobeez.com occasionally may offer contests and sweepstakes, which may be entered online. To participate in a contest or sweepstakes, a child is asked to provide his or her first name and email address. Sometimes, when we conduct contests or sweepstakes that may involve more than a one-time contact, we ask additionally for the email address of his or her parent. In such types of contests or sweepstakes, we send the child's parent an email within two business days informing him or her of the child's entry and give the parent the option to have the child's entry deleted. All the information collected by Toobeez.com is securely maintained and used only for the purpose of conducting the contest or sweepstakes. Once the contest or sweepstakes if finished, we then delete any personal information collected. The information collected in a Toobeez.com sweepstakes will remain private.

Thanks to the Internet, our children have unprecedented access to the world's knowledge base. From a computer in a school library or on a kitchen table, today's student literally can access information virtually anywhere with a few keystrokes and an inexpensive modem. Through e-mail and discussion groups, children share hobbies and learn about different cultures in online communities of children around the world.

We at CCT believe our children will adopt what we call a Web Lifestyle, in which the Internet and its resources are a foundation of their life. Whether planning a vacation, scheduling automobile repair or attending a college class, they will depend on the Internet as we rely today on the telephone.

Yet like most communities, the Internet has its perils. Many parents and teachers would never consider allowing children to wander unaccompanied through the streets of a major city, and nor should they permit children unsupervised access to the Internet.

CCT believes that parents are the appropriate arbiters of a child's Internet experience. We want to help you decide how to help your child have a pleasant travel through the online world, and to let you know that we are actively supporting you.

We were an advocate of online privacy rights, adopting a privacy policy that warns children to not give us any personal information without parents' permission.
